Shaun Wade & Haylee Wade

🚗 Mitsubishi Mirage – Class I
For Shaun Wade, rallying has always had a way of calling him back.
After spending 15 to 20 years away from the sport to focus on speedway, the opportunity to purchase a family friend's rally car proved too good to pass up.
But every rally driver needs a co-driver.
Shaun's daughter Haylee put her hand up for the job at just 14 years old, despite never having driven on a gravel road before.
"It was her first rally... and she was hooked."
Four years later, not much has changed.
"She still asks every day, 'What's our next event?'"
For the Wade family, rallying isn't just about competition—it's about spending quality time together.
"Rallying for us is just a good day out as a family and having fun."
That's exactly why they're excited to be competing at Rally Taumarunui.
"Events like Taumarunui are what we enjoy, with roads that are new to us and the adventure of not knowing what's around the next corner."
For Shaun and Haylee, every rally is another opportunity to share an adventure together, explore new roads and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Please join us in welcoming Shaun and Haylee to Rally Taumarunui, and be sure to give them a wave when you see the Mitsubishi Mirage out on the stages! 👋🏁
